What should i promote colm to

Despite her protests, he insisted to go alone. Though he took awhile to return, making Neimi worried. Neimi then approaches Eirika and her army who were traveling around, seeking help to see if her friend was still alive. Upon knowing that she had her homeland destroyed, Eirika is touched and accepts her request, since Eirika believes that it's her duty to protect the countrymen of Renais.

With knowledge of the land, Neimi leads the group to the correct location where the bandits are located, and offers her skills with her bow to help them. Eirika wonders if she can keep herself out of danger and follow orders, and Seth commands Neimi to stay back and protect the princess.

There, she finds Colm, who succesfully got her prized possession back, but is still trying to steal more from one of the bandits.

Colm can be recruited by Neimi talking him into stopping his dangerous thiefing life and go back with her. After realising they have no home to return, Neimi and Colm ask to go with Eirika in her journey, which she gladly accepts, despite Seth's resistance. Seth didn't trust them completly, since prior, Colm, while walking in the town had also stolen Eirika's bracelet , without Neimi's knowledge. In the end, after the war, she returns to her village and has a quiet life, eventually she goes back to the capital of Renais and becomes an archery instructor to the military.

If Neimi is paired with Colm, she marries him and they both have two children. Neimi is a sweet girl, very sensitive and with low self esteem. She feels bad very easily; crying over the silliest things and apologizing to people for doing things without a thought. She always thinks that she has done something wrong, even if she hasn't. She's very insecure and second guesses herself a lot. If Neimi is a combatant in the final battle against Fomortiis , she wonders confusingly if she should be in this important event.

As an Assassin , Colm will gain Silencer , which can instantly kill any target except for Fomortiis. He also gets access to the Shamshir sword, which has a hefty 35 critical, which bodes well for him as Silencer uses half of his critical rate and doubles his experience when it activates, allowing him to level up quickly for a promoted unit.

However, not only does Silencer have halved activation rate against bosses, he also loses the ability to steal, which can deter players from going that route in favor of his alternate promotion, the Rogue.

As a Rogue, Colm will not perform nearly as well in combat, but will not even need lockpicks anymore due to the Pick skill, which allows him to open anything for free. He also retains his ability to steal, which can be helpful for later chapters where enemies have items that benefit them, but can be stolen, such as Caellach and the Hoplon Guard in Chapter Both classes have identical maximum statistics, although the low cap of 20 for strength, defense, and resistance can be a pain.

Colm's best support option is, without a shadow of a doubt, Neimi , whose Fire affinity compliments him by buffing his attack and critical hit rate. The true strength of this support, however, is its speed, being among the fastest supports in the game and already coming with a C support.

If the player seeks to use Colm as an Assassin, having him support Neimi is highly recommended, as his chances for activating Silencer become much higher. Rennac , the other default thief, can also boost Colm's critical hit rate with his Dark affinity , while serving as the new stealer for the rest of the game should Colm be an Assassin.

Moulder who has Anima , Marisa , and Kyle who both have Ice all increase his defenses, which can help him survive hits. However, the latter four all have dramatically slower supports, so they will take far longer to kick into effect. Colm is quite harsh and mocking, shown in his conversations with Neimi.

However, he does care for her, and may be only trying to get Neimi to be less sensitive. Often he only thinks about himself, but other times he can be very chivalrous. He is young, probably around the same age as Neimi, but still is a skilled thief.

In his B support with Kyle , it is shown that he hates studying. Originally he came from a village called Lark, but it was burnt down by Bazba 's Bandits. As he and Neimi had nowhere to go, he joined Eirika's army. Assuming you're using Colm over Rennac the reasonable choice , a Rogue is more useful due to its innate skills. Yes, while an Assassin can pick chests or doors with an old Lockpick, he cannot steal.

A Rogue can unlock things without an item and can steal items from an enemy. Colm should definitely become a rogue. The "Pick" skill is highly valuable, whereas the "Silencer" skill I find hardly ever hits. User Info: Middleman One thing I forgot to mention, an ocean seal can be found at Fort Rigwald Chapter 9 on Ephraim's route. Colm should always be rogue, cus the other options for assassin are a million times better User Info: AnonomousX.

Colm used his abilities as a thief to keep himself, and later Neimi alive. He would steal items of value from people that seemed wealthy to pay for necessities for himself and Neimi. During Chapter 3, Colm infiltrated a bandit hideout to find Neimi's lost handmirror, stolen by bandits. Neimi, who was worried for Colm's safety, found Eirika and convinced her group to go with her the Bandit's Hideout and find Colm.

Colm is rather snide and arrogant, but genuinely cares for Neimi. He is also quite proud of his thieving prowess. It is often hard to tell if Colm is exhibiting his uncaring for others or if he is simply clumsy. In a conversation with Moulder it is revealed he had burned a pack filled with Moulder's belongings twice, Moulder then says he is 'concerned about the condition of Colm's soul. Colm has a weakness for Neimi being sad or crying, which she does quite often.

He will often try to pretend he doesn't care or pester her about being a "crybaby". If the two obtain an A Support, Colm will be unable to keep up his facade and comfort Neimi. Colm has surprisingly high growths for a thief, but unfortunately, his low bases, weak promotion, and permanent sword lock make him a very poor combat unit overall.

His lowStrength and the low might of sword will often leave him unable to deal significant damage to most enemies. With his extremely low HP, Defense, and Resistance, he will have to rely on his high yet unreliable avoid to survive attacks, which leaves him critically endangered to any common lance wielding enemy. Despite Colm's weak combat, he is still useful for a time because of his Thief utility, since he is the first Thief in the game and the only character able to pick locks until eitherMarisa or Joshua promote into Assassin, which hampers their combat potential significantly.
